Young Professionals Network

Are you a young professional studying international relations or simply interested in what’s happening in the world around you? The AIIA WA Branch offer a casual, friendly environment for meeting others with a similar interest in international affairs, as well as a place for stimulating conversation and debate. There are monthly seminars as well as specific YPN events throughout the year.

Speakers

The AIIA receives advanced notice of prominent speakers and for our YPN members we try to organise special offers such as discounted rates for upcoming events. Recent events which YPN members have attended include previous Foreign Minister Mr Kevin Rudd, Senator Kate Lundy and Mr Jeffrey Bleich, U.S. Ambassador to Australia. Members are usually sent notice of the meeting and asked to RSVP to confirm attendance.

Careers without Borders: Young Professionals Network International Careers Evening - Monday 26th March 2012 

An event introducing students to the opportunities available in international affairs. Previous attendees include a Washington, D.C internship, voluntary medical electives, CARE Australia, DFAT, Consulting and yGen Club.

AIIA Developing International Scholars Workshop (ADISW) - August 2012 (tbc)
