International Careers Conference - the must attend event of the year

The 2011 ICC will be held on Friday 26 August, at Melbourne University, Parkville Campus.

The ICC was created to provide inspiration and careers advice for undergraduate and postgraduate students at Victorian colleges and universities. The first conference was held at the University of Melbourne in 2005 and attracted over 200 participants. Last year we were back at the University of Melbourne and attracted over 250 participants.

The event is designed to appeal to anyone seeking information about international careers in government and diplomacy, international development, business and law. Speakers are selected for their varied international experiences and expertise in their chosen field.

The conference is structured around themed plenary and breakout sessions.  In 2011 there are three breakout sessions on career opportunities in government and security, international business, and international agencies and non government organisations.  These will be repeated to enable participants to attend eash session.

Organisations presenting on the day will also be providing careers information in the venue foyer. Sponsoring universities will also be making information available about opportunities for postgraduate study. Time is set aside in the morning and afternoon programmes to allow for browsing and networking.
