Australian Institute of International Affairs Victoria
2011 Scholarship programme:
The trustees of the Walter Mangold Trust Fund have agreed to provide funding to the AIIAV to sponsor a thesis on one of the following subjects:
• What is 2011’s biggest issue in international affairs that has not been reported?
• What is broken about international relations and how would you fix it?
• What is the most pressing international issue today and how should Australia respond?
The papers must explore the issues using many sources of information and not simply be a repetition of existing papers.
Length of the paper should be approximately 4000 to 5000 words due by the end of June. The paper will remain the property of the AIIAV. It will be published in Quarterly Access, subject to editorial process.
Regular reporting of the progress of the paper will be required. The scholarship will be for $2500.
