The AIIA is committed to providing people with an interest in international affairs a forum to engage with the field. We're proud to announce our Queensland internships program for 2012. This page should give you all the information you need to apply. For more information on the AIIA, see here.
We're looking for people with skills in media (design, audio etc), communications, editorial and journalism, event management, admin, and community and organisational liaison. We're also looking for representatives on major university campuses around Brisbane.

Applications are open from Monday 6 February at 9am until Friday 17 February at 5pm. To apply, please fill out our online form. You will need the following materials (which you can upload using the form):
CV
Application letter (1-2 pages)
Examples of work (if applicable)
Details of course (if internship is undertaken as part of a degree)
You do not need to become a member to apply.
Internships are not paid and no assistance is available. We recommend against relocating to Brisbane specifically to undertake an internship with us. Our program is designed for local and visiting residents to fit around their other activities (such as work or study).
AIIA Qld doesn't have standard office hours. All organisational tasks are undertaken by volunteers (including the branch officers). You will need to be comfortable with communicating by e-mail and phone.
Interns will work on things that are important to the organisation, and it's important that you're self-motivated and reliable without constant supervision. Your work will be balanced between pursuing your own interests and general tasks the branch needs to run. All interns must be available to help with our meetings, which are held on Tuesday nights (twice per month). Intern meetings will be held on some off-schedule Tuesday nights.
Please upload all supporting documents using the Formsite application form. Physical materials can be posted to GPO Box 1916, Brisbane, QLD 4001, but please send us an e-mail to let us know your name and what you've sent. Please note that we can't guarantee return of any materials submitted.
If you have any questions, please contact us here.
