Then AIIA Queensland Branch is for you!

Meetings are usually held on the second Tuesday and fourth Monday of each month at our premises in Harris Terrace, 46 George Street, Brisbane. Please see the events calendar to view details of future meetings and speakers.

Meetings are free to members unless otherwise noted. Visitors are welcome to attend all meetings. For usual meetings, the cost for visitors is $10 or $5 for students.

Last speaker for the year

Fernberg Lecture

This is a special reminder to any AIIA members who expressed interest in attending the Fernberg Lecture at Government House. If you have not received an official invitation from the Governor (via post) please check your AIIA emails for Jeremy's email address. 

2012 China Study Tour

The Victoria Branch of AIIA have extended an invitation to our members who are interested in the 2012 Study Tour to the People’s Republic of China. There is a call for applications with the recommendation that you submit your booking forms and deposit early. Although paying the refundable deposit is necessary to secure your place, it does not guarantee a place. Please contact Victoria Branch admin.vic@aiia.asn.au for details.

KNOWLEDGE BROKERS Briefing Paper

The AIIA has released a discussion paper on knowledge brokers to inform debate among Branches and the public about the organisation's role. This paper can be accessed from the Resources tab in Transcripts & Media.

2011 AIIA Qld Annual General Meeting

The AIIA AGM will be held at Harris Terrace from 5:45 on 24 August 2011.

Members interested in being part of the Council should nominate as per the nomination form attached

Immediately following the AGM we are pleased to welcome Dr Daniel Twining, Senior Fellow for Asia at the German Marshall Fund of the United States (GMF).
Dr Twining will talk on the highly relevant topic of US Engagement in the Asia Pacific.
We look forward to seeing all members at the AGM.
