Rudd to be keynote speaker at AIIA Charteris dinner
Foreign Minister Kevin Rudd will be the guest of honour at the Australian Institute of International Affairs annual Charteris Dinner to be held at Tattersalls Club in Sydney on November 24.
The AIIA’s leadership in Sydney has revived the dinner as a hallmark annual event, held in honour of the institute’s founder, Professor A.H. Charteris.
Colin Chapman, the president of the AIIA in NSW, said, “Geopolitics - and the conduct of foreign policy in a troubled and uncertain world - has seldom been more important to Australia. Since becoming foreign minister, Mr Rudd’s contribution to the international debate has been widely recognised across the world. We are delighted that the foreign minister has accepted our invitation to talk about the future”.
