Dr Alison Broinowski, Academic, Journalist, Writer and former Diplomat, has written extensively on the politics of the Asia-Pacific region, and provided numerous commentaries on its politics in various areas of the media.In addition to this work, Dr Broinowski was an Australian diplomat in Japan, Jordan and the United Nations. It is from the last-mentioned posting that she brings particular expertise in delivering her lecture on Australia's intent to become a member of the UN Security Council.
