Roundtable:
East Asia and the Pacific -
A World Bank Update
Dr Ivailo Izvorski
Lead Economist, East Asia Region, World Bank
Principal Author, The East Asia and Pacific Update: Securing the Present, Shaping the Future
Monday 28th March, 12.30 pm
AIIA Conference Centre
Level 1, Stephen House,

Only weeks before the disastrous earthquake and tsunami in Japan, the World Bank completed its East Asia and Pacific Update on the theme ‘Securing the Present , Shaping the Future’ (The Update is available at http://go.worldbank.org/0B8QITE7U0.) How far reaching will be the impact of the disaster on what the Bank assesses to be a ‘strong regional economy’?
The ACT Branch of the AIIA is pleased that the principal author of the World Bank report, Dr Ivailo Izvorski, who is in Australia to give official briefings, is prepared, at short notice, to share his insights at an informal AIIA roundtable.
Discussion will cover both the Update and preliminary views on the impact of the disaster.
For catering purposes, please RSVP by 10.00 am, 28th March by registering on the events page at www.aiia.asn.au, by emailing act.branch@aiia.asn.au or by calling 6232 4978
